Dry Cleaning

Dry Cleaning

Dry cleaning is a cleaning process for clothing and textiles using a solvent other than water. Most of the time, dry cleaning is performed with chlorinated hydrocarbons, the best known is perchlorethylene.
A machine for dry cleaning like a washing machine, but it is larger and a closed circuit: the solvent is recovered, filtered (charcoal filters) and reused during the wash cycle instead of being rejected in the pipes.
